Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Communication skills are an essential part of a child's overall development. All children are different when it comes to developing communication skills.
Children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) may find it difficult to listen, understand and communicate with others, and may need support to develop these skills. They may have difficulty with only one speech, language or communication skill, or with several and their needs may change over time. Sometimes SLCN can be associated with another condition such as autism, learning, physical or sensory disability
If you are concerned about your child’s speech and language development, the link below shows the support that is available in Shropshire and Telford.
