SEND News update for September 2021

Welcome back after the Summer Holidays I hope you have enjoyed your break!

The start of this term has not been without its challenges. However, in this edition of the SEND News we are pleased to share with you some of the projects and events that are coming up in the autumn term.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Review Workshop, the presentation slides are available to download from the SEND Local Offer. Over the next few months we are planning to hold a workshop on annual reviews with parents and family carers in association with PODS and IASS. The IASS service have been working with the SOS group (Shout Out for SEND – Young Persons Forum) to create an annual review workshop for young people to understand how they can contribute and learn more about the process.

Dates have been released for ISF, Emotional Health and Wellbeing Panel, Early Years Inclusion Funding and a year plan for SENCo Network Meetings. More information will be shared about training opportunities and SEND Courses each month.

Shropcom have asked us to share a reminder to schools that the advice line is still open, the contact details are available in the article below.

Finally, whilst we await to hear about the SEND Review and changes to the Local Area Inspection Framework we are working on updating SEND Self Evaluation and SEND Action plan.

Best wishes,

Natalie Bevan
SEND Service Delivery Manager
