Each setting will have an overview list showing any children in the setting that have been identified with SEND.

To add a child’s details to the list the setting will need parental consent, then a record can be kept of concerns or reports from external agencies.
The overview shows that settings are monitoring the child’s progress and development
The list should be reviewed regularly (at least every six weeks) to make sure that all details are up to date. A child’s name can be removed from the list if there are no longer concerns about their learning and development. The list is a working document and will reflect the fluid nature of the child’s developmental needs.
