Behaviour Support Advisory Team (BSAT)
Information for parent carers
The Behaviour Support Advisory Team (BSAT) play an integral role in supporting schools and students throughout Telford and Wrekin, striving to improve pupil school engagement, enjoyment and outcomes. BSAT provide support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, those presenting with challenging behaviours or additional barriers to learning engagement.
BSAT offer support across all stages of school life, from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Primary and Secondary settings (age 3 - 16). BSAT Inclusion Mentors work collaboratively with staff, parent carers and professionals to ensure all young people are supported with their holistic wellbeing, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Who are we?
BSAT Inclusion Mentors are experienced practitioners who work alongside schools to support behaviour for learning and improve engagement.
The team is made up of a Team Lead, BSAT Assistant Headteacher and five Inclusion Mentors. Every member of the team brings unique expertise and qualifications to the role, including QTS and degrees in relevant fields.

Who can access the service?
BSAT support is available to all T&W, academy and private schools.
