What We Do

Tackling the challenges of pupils faced with learning difficulties? Needing advice and support on social and emotional problems? We can help.

Educational psychology is concerned with children and young people in educational and early years settings. We can work in a variety of ways to support teachers, parents, and the young people concerned, support assistants and others working with children.

What We Offer

  • Assessment and interventions for children and young people who have complex needs within mainstream schools, special schools and Assessment Intervention Centres.
  • Critical Incident and Bereavement support for schools following a child or adult's death.
  • Statutory guidance to the LA to contribute to the Education Health and Care Plans.
  • Therapeutic intervention to assist children with social emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Support to Children in Care and the Virtual School Team.
  • Training to staff to provide therapeutic interventions.
  • Support to the Strengthening Families Agenda through joint multidisciplinary working with a range of support agencies and social workers.
  • Support and advice to Education Social Workers to assist their interventions within families.

Why Choose Us?

We are a team of educational psychologists trained to Doctoral and Masters level who are equipped with the skills to assess children and young people and to provide evidence based interventions.

We provide training to schools to build capacity, providing key staff with the skills to work more effectively with children and young people with learning and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

We can assist schools with their application for an Education Health and Care Plan. We can provide assessment within the context of the school environment to inform CAMHS with more supporting data in relation to the child's difficulties.

We provide a wide range of training for teaching staff and other agencies such as foster carers in relation to complex needs and the impact of early developmental trauma. We have expertise in a range of therapies, currently provided within the specialist LA school provisions, actively encouraging pupils with high levels of anxiety back into education.
